Men Stabbed During Apartment Fight
The stabbing occurred early Monday at the Pacific Park Apartments in Costa Mesa. Relatives drove both victims to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach.
A man was hospitalized in critical condition this morning and another had moderate wounds after both were stabbed in the driveway of a Costa Mesa apartment complex, police said.
"We know there was a fight with drinking involved,'' Costa Mesa police Sgt. Clint Dieball said early today, but police could not determine who stabbed the two men at 11:41 p.m. Sunday at the apartment complex at 1760 Pomona Avenue. The complex is called Pacific Park.
Relatives drove both victims to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in nearby Newport Beach, where the patient with moderate stab wounds was treated, Dieball said. The one with life-threatening wounds was sent on by ambulance to the trauma center at Western Medical Center Santa Ana, where he was in critical condition following surgery.
