Update: Coroner ID's CDM Fire Victim

Donald Lee died Tuesday at Western Medical Center after suffering injuries in a Corona del Mar fire.

A 57-year-old man was identified late Tuesday as the man who was pulled from a house fire in Corona del Mar, and died at a local hospital, the Orange County coroner's office reported.

Donald Lee, of Newport Beach, was pronounced dead Tuesday at 8:54 a.m. at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, according to the coroner's office. An autopsy was scheduled for later this week to determine Lee's cause of death, but the coroner's report said death occurred from the injuries he sustained from the fire.

The blaze was reported Monday about 2:38 p.m. at a two-story residence located at 607 1/2 block of Marguerite Ave., and was knocked down at 3:33 p.m., according to Jennifer Schulz of the Newport Beach Fire Department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
