Man Dies in Newport Beach Crash
A man dies after losing control of his car on the 73 freeway in Newport Beach.
A man was killed in a car crash over the weekend on a freeway in Newport Beach, the Orange County coroner's office reported.
Diego Alvarado, 23, of Anaheim was killed on Sunday just before 4:30 p.m., according to a coroner's report. Alvarado was driving on the northbound 73 freeway, just north of Campus Drive, when he lost control of his car, the coroner's office reported.
Alvarado was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana where he was pronounced dead.
