A 23-year-old man suspected in a drunken driving collision that killed a pedestrian in Corona Del Mar was charged today with vehicular manslaughter.
Robert John Greaney was charged with vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence of alcohol, both felonies, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, an infraction, according to court records. He also faces a sentencing enhancement for inflicting great bodily harm.
Greaney's vehicle slammed into 81-year-old Edward Salkin in the bicycle lane at Pacific Coast Highway near Morning Canyon Road about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, according to police and court records.
