Man Arrested on Suspicion of DUI After Newport Crash
Daniel Anthony Vargas, of Costa Mesa, was arrested after he crashed his car down an embankment in Newport Beach.
A Costa Mesa man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his car in Newport Beach last week, police reported.
The crash was reported about 11:40 p.m. on Thursday at Dover Drive and 16th Street, according to Andi Querry,crime prevention specialist for the Newport Beach Police Department. Daniel Anthony Vargas, 30, was arrested for alleged DUI after officers arrived at the scene of the crash.
"When officers arrived on scene they found a driver in his vehicle off the side of the road, Dover Drive, and down an embankment, just south of 16th Street," Querry said.
