Health officials lifted water warnings this week at Little Corona Beach and a section of Newport Bay, and said it's safe for swimmers to get in the water.

Warning signs were posted Sept. 26 at Little Corona Beach, and on Tuesday at Garnet Avenue Beach in Newport Bay by the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Ocean Water Protection Program. Bacteria levels exceeded health standards.

The health warning was lifted Wednesday from Little Corona Beach, and Thursday from Garnet Avenue Beach.

According to health officials, the waters are safe for swimmers.
