Former Anaheim Angel Charged With DUI
Adam Kennedy was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Jan. 26 on the 73 Freeway near MacArthur Boulevard.
A former Anaheim Angels player was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Orange County district attorney's office.
Adam Kennedy, who was a second-baseman for the Angels from 2000 through 2006, is charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence and another misdemeanor count of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or more, according to court records. He was arrested Jan. 26 on the 73 Freeway near MacArthur Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol said.
Kennedy is scheduled to be arraigned June 21. Kennedy, who signed with the Seattle Mariners in the off-season, played from the Angels from 2000 to 2006.
