The workshop will be held Thursday, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in Corona del Mar.

A 3.9 earthquake rattled Newport Beach earlier this week, now residents have a chance to make sure they are prepared for the next one.

An Earthquake and Tsunami Awareness Workshop will be held tomorrow, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the OASIS Senior Center, 801 Narcissus Ave. in Corona del Mar.

Jennifer Schulz, spokeswoman for the Newport Beach Fire Department, said the workshop will teach residents about earthquake and tsunami threats.
