DUI Checkpoint Set for Thursday

The Newport Beach Police Department will have a sobriety checkpoint Thursday on northbound Jamboree Road at Santa Barbara Drive.

The checkpoint will operate from 7:30 p.m. Thursday until 3:00 a.m. Friday.

Drivers who pass through the checkpoint will receive a brochure about drinking and driving. Officers also will check to make sure drivers have valid licenses.
