A car crashed early Wednesday in Newport Beach, but no one was injured, a police official reported.
The single-vehicle crash occurred about 9:45 am at Superior and West Coast Highway, according to Newport Beach police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe.
The car was traveling westbound on West Coast Highway, west of Superior Avenue, when the driver lost control of the car and ended up in a cement ditch on the north side of West Coast Highway, Lowe said.
The driver, who was the only person in the car, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
