Court Officials Warn of Jury Scam

Someone posing as a law enforcement is calling Orange County residents, demanding payment for missing jury service. Don't fall for it.

Orange County Superior Court officials today issued a warning about a thief pretending to be a law enforcement officer to get victims to turn over credit card or other personal information over the telephone.

Multiple Orange County residents have received calls or messages from the thief, posing as a law enforcement officer, demanding cash to clear up an arrest warrant for failure to report for jury service.

Orange County Superior Court officials would never ask anyone who has served as a juror or has been called for jury service to provide information on credit cards, bank accounts or Social Security numbers. Anyone who has received a call should immediately call police.
