Coroner Releases Sketch of Body Found in Surf

Updated: The mystery man was discovered Saturday at Bolsa Chica State Beach. Officials hope the public can help identify him.

Hoping to identify a mystery man who was found floating in the surf Saturday at Bolsa Chica State Beach, the county coroner released a sketch Thursday.

The man, described as Hispanic or Middle Eastern, was spotted in the water around 9:50 a.m. near Tower 19, next to the camping grounds in Huntington Beach, officials said. He was taken to Huntington Beach Hospital, where he later died, according to a coroner press release.

Officials estimated his age at 25 to 35, and described him as 6 feet tall, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
