The body of Tina Hoang, 20, was found early Monday face-down in the sand near Tower 71 in the area of Highland Street and West Oceanfront in Newport Beach.

A 20-year-old Bellflower woman was identified today as the woman whose body was found in the sand in Newport Beach early Monday, authorities reported.

The body of Tina Hoang was found unconscious by passersby at about 6 a.m. near Tower 71 in the area of Highland Street and West Oceanfront, according to Newport Beach police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe.

Hoang's attorney, David Nisson, said his client gave birth in January and was facing multiple charges of prostitution. Hoang was scheduled to be in court Friday in Van Nuys.

Hoang was facing a misdemeanor count of loitering to commit prostitution in Anaheim. She was due in court on that charge March 28 at the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
