Christmas Packages Stolen from Newport Porches

Police say two people driving in a Dodge Ram pickup truck are stealing UPS and FedEx packages from porches in Newport Hills.

If you are expecting last minute Christmas deliveries, make sure you keep your eyes peeled. Police say thieves are at work stealing holiday packages in the Newport Hills Community.

According to police, on Friday, Dec. 14 a man and woman wearing dark clothing stole several UPS and FedEx packages from porches within the neighborhood. Police say the suspects appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s and were driving in a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Police say residents should call police if they see:
• An individual taking packages from a doorstep.
• Someone following a delivery truck and then going up to the porch after a delivery has been made. Even if you don’t see the individual leave with the package in their arms, they may have opened the package and taken the items out.
