Two members of the Newport Beach Police Department were promoted Thursday during a ceremony.

Police Chief Jay Johnson promoted Darrin Joe and Ryan Peters to the rank of sergeant and welcomed Officer Dustin Houston to the Newport Beach Police Department family.
