Car Crosses Median, Collides With Six Others in CDM

One person was injured in the accident that happened about 5:30 p.m. Monday on East Coast Highway when a car crossed the center divider.

A car traveling down East Coast Highway yesterday crossed the center divider, hit six other cars and left a woman injured, police said today.

The crash was reported at about 5:30 p.m. on East Coast Highway near Morning Canyon Road in Corona del Mar when the driver of a Honda Civic crossed over the median, according to Kathy Lowe, police spokeswoman.

"From the initial investigation it appears that a vehicle that was travelling westbound on East Coast Highway crossed the center divider and struck several vehicles that were travelling eastbound on East Coast Highway," Lowe said.
