Car Crash Sends One to Hospital

A light pole was damaged, and one person was taken to Hoag Hospital following a three-car crash in Newport Beach.

Three cars collided earlier this week in Newport Beach, leaving at least one person hospitalized, a police official reported.

The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of Newport Blvd. Jennifer Manzella, police spokeswoman, said Newport Beach police and fire responded to the scene.

A light pole was damaged in the crash, and one person was taken to Hoag Hospital with unknown injuries.
