Burglar Steals Items from Unlocked Newport Home

Electronics and a wallet were stolen from a home on West Ocean Front in Newport Beach.

A suspect entered a Newport Beach home last week through an unlocked door, police reported.

The burglary took place on Wednesday, Oct. 23 between 5:10 and 5:40 p.m., at a home in the 1500 block of West Ocean Front. Police said the suspect entered the home through an unlocked door and stole a laptop, tablet, iPhone and wallet from the dining room table.

Police said the resident stepped out for a bike ride when the burglary occurred.
