Burglar Ransacks Unlocked Newport Home

A home was burglarized last week in Newport Beach, and some of the rooms were ransacked, police reported.

The burglary was reported on Sunday, Nov. 10 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of Holmwood Drive. According to police, the suspect went into the home possibly through an unlocked rear sliding glass door and ransacked a bedroom and office.

A gold and turquoise ring was reported stolen from the house.
