A home in Newport Coast was burglarized this week, police reported.
The burglary took place about 6:45 p.m. on Saturday at a home on Sail Vista. According to police, an unknown suspect climbed onto the second story balcony, smashed a window and entered the home. The burglar rummaged through the bedroom drawers and fled once the home's alarm was activated.
The loss from the burglary was unknown.
