Burglar Breaks Window to Enter Newport Home


A home was recently burglarized in Newport Beach after a suspect broke a window to get inside, police reported.

The incident happened sometime between Sept. 6 at 4:30 p.m. and Sept. 19 at 8:30 a.m., at a home on Carmel Bay Drive. According to police, a suspect got into the home by breaking a side laundry room window, reaching in and unlocking the door. 

Once inside the home the suspect went to the master bedroom and stole jewelry before fleeing out the back door of the bedroom.
