Boat Catches Fire, Sinks Off Crystal Cove
A fellow boater helped rescue a couple and their dog.

A fellow boater helped rescue a couple and their dog from their burning boat just off Crystal Cove State Park today, a sheriff's lieutenant said.
Orange County sheriff's deputies were alerted to the blazing boat just after 3:20 p.m., sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock said.

"A passing boater saw (the couple) and essentially rescued them and got them off the boat before deputies got there," Hallock said. "The boat was a total loss."
