Bacteria Warning Issued at Pelican Point

Signs warning of unhealthy bacteria levels were posted Friday at a section of Crystal Cove State Park.

Some areas of Crystal Cove State Park are under a health advisory today, the Orange County Health Care Agency reported.

Around 3 p.m. Friday, the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Ocean Water Protection Program posted warning signs at Crystal Cove State Park, 300 feet at the projection of the stairway at Pelican Point.

According to health officials, the bacteria levels exceed health standards and contact with the water may cause illness.
