ATM Stolen from Newport Restaurant

An ATM machine containing $4,500 in cash was swiped over the weekend from a Newport Beach restaurant.

An ATM machine was stolen over the weekend from a Newport Beach restaurant, police reported.

Just before 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, a suspect or suspects shut off power to the DivBar Restaurant located in the 2600 block of West Coast Highway. According to police, the suspect forced open a window at the business, and stole a free-standing ATM machine.

Police said there was $4,500 in cash inside of the stolen ATM.

No other information was available.
