A different channel

    My dear friend at the assisted living home informed me that his t.v. wasn’t working well, it was only displaying one channel, a foreign one that he and his roommate couldn’t understand.  And so my son brought out another one we had tucked away and walking down the road to the Retirement home the three of us went.

                   Turns out it wasn’t the t.v. after all, not even with the two of them together, it was the converter box.

      I attempted to assist my friend in his transition while waiting for a new converter box with a shoulder massage, one he and several of the residents really enjoy.  It brings them all together without worries or unnecessary pains.

        My friend and his roommate are of different religions.  They have their differences and yet they manage to live together side by side just fine. There is a common space that they both share where religion no longer attempts to convert, they are getting along just fine.

                       They had both been watching a foreign channel not knowing it was a converter box that the two of them needed, not in terms of religious beliefs but to change the channel of an unknown language that prevented the two of them from converting back to their own different yet much interconnected ways.
