Newport Family Tours Warren Buffett's See's Candy Factory

The Staub Family from Newport Beach won the candy factory tour after bidding the most for it during a charity auction.

A Newport Beach family who has a sweet spot for charity, indulged in an all-you-can-eat tour alongside Warren Buffett at the See's Candy factory in Los Angeles.

Jack Staub, a Newport Beach engineer and businessman, secured the candy factory tour for his family when he bid $156,000 in August during the "School Day" auction, which benefits a Los Angeles-area high school dropout prevention program, charity organizers reported.

On Monday Staub, his wife, Jade, and their two kids Delaney, 8, and Dylan, 4, enjoyed an hour and a half tour of See's Candy factory, which is owned by Buffett's company, Berkshire Hathaway Inc.

The Staub Family said their favorite part of the tour was decorating the milk chocolate Halloween jack-o'-lanterns and picking out candy for Jade and Dylan's teachers.
