I think the Health Insurance industry is getting a "Free ride".. When the dust settles and it will and I imagine many folks (maybe even myself) will write books about this Historic time in Healthcare. The layers of corruption will surface, but for now let's just look at the facts that we know as today (let's not speculate or bring up some big conspiracy theory) first back in 2010 Goldman Sachs estimated that the Five Giant Insurance Corp's would profit by 10% a year from 2010-2019. Well Goldman Sachs had it wrong the average is 59% increase (not 10%). One startling reason for this amazing performance was that Obama took off the table "proposals for significantly reducing healthcare costs".
Now let's examine the real folks that run America (who profits from Obamacare)? 1. Soros Fund Group (Bought 125,000 Shares of Gilead Sciences -Profited) 2. Warren Buffet (Bought 5.67% shares of DaVita - Huge profit) 3. Carl Icahn (4.3 Milllion shares of Forest labs & 5.9 Million shares of Enzon Pharmaceuticals and 6.7 million shares of WEbMD. 4. Ken Fisher bought up 9.8 million shares of Pfizer 5. David Einhorn bought 6.7 million shares of Aetna 4.9 Million shares of Cigna.
My feeling is that Obama and most Politicians rely on the fact that Americans care more about Kim Kardashian or some other Pop Figure / rather than issues that concern the Middle class (because boy this will erode the Middle Class in America "anyone who still works and makes under $250,000 a year adjusted gross income"). Obamacare is one of the single biggest wealth creation opportunities to hit the markets in decades- HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY "TRILLIONS" WILL BE SPENT AS OBAMACARE GETS ROLLING. Just this week I read that George Soros bought a major position into a Pharmaceutical company and is throwing his money and support behind Hillary Clinton's election (not shocking.. he knows the facts- most Americans are walking around un-diagnosed with Diabetes, High Blood Pressure ET) and now those folks will have Insurance to pay for those Pharmaceuticals. You gotta love how these guys think, thanks for an additional 32 million new "insured" drug companies will see huge profits (Trillions) and vaccine business will boom!
And finally an update on "cancelled plans", Covered California has voted against President Obama's plea late last week, and upheld the decision to "Cancel" millions of Individual and family plans here in California. If you thought you had until 2015 to change plans, think again your plan is still going away in California.
