Blog: Sunday Night Crowds at Big Corona Beach

Time lapse photography captures the evening beach scene.

Some day soon the fire pits at Big Corona Beach may be gone.

The city is petitioning the California Coastal Commission to remove them and others on the Balboa Peninsula because of health concerns about wood smoke.

These last days of August are drawing enthusiastic crowds, and boaters, as you’ll see here in time lapse.

What are your thoughts about the fire rings? Should they stay or should they go?

They shoulod stay unless they ban all wood burning fireplaces in the city. Only fair.
