LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION Creating Music For the Action Film - Newport Beach Film Festival

Hollywood’s leading action-film composers will discuss the process of creating the pulse-pounding, heart-racing scores for Hollywood blockbuster films. Often faced with the challenge of enhancing the on-screen fight scenes and explosions, the composers will offer insight into how the score works in harmony with the film’s visual elements, sound effects, and getting all of the elements to co-exist. Film clips will be shown. Moderated by Tim Greiving, writer for Variety, and frequent contributor to L.A. Weekly and Film Score Monthly.
