First Annual Newport Beach Wine and Food Festival

Premiering as a world-class food

and wine event in Newport Beach, The First Annual Newport Beach Wine and Food Festival is a three-day festival welcoming enthusiastic foodies, culinary artists, celebrity chefs, wine lovers and connoisseurs. Guests are invited to enjoy an official kickoff party at RED O Restaurant, hosted by Master Chef Rick Bayless, followed by a two-day culinary extravaganza set amongst the stunningly

contemporary grounds of the Newport Beach Civic Center. 

The RED O
VIP launch party will welcome guests with a showcase of luxury and exotic
automobiles steps from the valet and guide them through the restaurant’s extravagant
grand entrance. Specialty drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served at the
cocktail party sponsored by acclaimed tequila company Casamigos, followed by a three-course
meal hand selected by Master Chef Rick Bayless. Guests will also have the very
exclusive opportunity to mingle with Bayless during the cocktail party and dinner
seating, as well as at the personal book signing at the end of the evening.

The next two
days, guests will indulge in skills and tips with live cooking demonstrations
from celebrity chefs. The festival’s all-star daytime lineup will include Bravo’s winner Chef Richard Blais, Bravo’s contestant and James Beard Foundation “Rising Star
Chef” finalist Chef Sue Zemanick, Food Network’s winner Chef Jamie Gwen and recent champion of Food Network’s Top

At the Civic
Center, guests are greeted with elegance as the entry lawn will be adorned with
settees, vintage linen-covered furniture and passed hors d’oeuvres from local
restaurants. They are then guided to the Sub-Zero and Wolf stage showcasing
live cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs. Handcrafted cocktails will be
served by master mixologists in the libations lounge while guests enjoy live
music from international jazz bands. The Grand Tasting Pavilion area will be
filled with aromas and succulent tastings served by executive chefs from 16 local
restaurants each day, while a beautifully constructed bar will attract guests
to the center of the pavilion to enjoy a selection of fine wines. Guests can also
sip tastings from world-class wineries that will line the breathtaking architecture of City Hall, while decadent desserts, gourmet coffee and after dinner
wine and drinks will be served throughout the grounds.

The Festival
will be benefiting two noteworthy Orange County charity foundations. One
hundred percent of all proceeds will go towards Project Hope Alliance, an
Orange County organization that strives to end homelessness for over 28,000
children, as well as the HOAG Hospital Foundation, nationally recognized for raising
more than $40M for healthcare causes.
