Writing for Magazines Course Offered at Rancho Center in Irvine for ages 16+

Express yourself while making some extra cash as a freelance writer for magazines and newspapers. Whatever your interests are, there is a publication to match them. And they are looking for new writers. "Writing for Magazines" will cover all you need to know to launch your writing career: how to generate ideas and approach an editor, professional article presentation, writing tips and motivation. The instructor, Dorothy Spirus, is a former magazine editor. She also teaches Creative Writing (a six-week course), which begins on April 15. These courses are offered through the City of Irvine Community Services Dept. Pre-registration is recommended at least two business days prior to the first class to ensure enrollment.
