Bichon Furkids Spring Bash

Bichon Furkids (BFK), a local rescue group in its 8th year of operation and dedicated to saving bichons and bichon mixes, will host its semi-annual Bichon Bash event on May 17th. This event will celebrate Raffles, the Forever Foster Poster Dog for 2014 and will launch the Furkid & Friends Sanctuary —focused on providing medical care and housing for both Furkids in transition as well as those with longer-term needs.

The Spring Bichon Bash attracts close to 250 people (and almost as many bichons), and provides a venue for families who have previously adopted bichons, people interested in learning about the breed and the many volunteers who support the mission of the group. The event is a day filled with fun, entertainment and education. Emceeing the event this year
will be Valerie Nandalini and Marti Colwell. New to the event will be a
Children’s Game Corner. In addition, the Bichon Bash features a Parade of
Rescues, a Costume contest, a silent auction, raffle, training demonstrations, a segment on pet nutrition, and “Stump the Trainer,” a vendor faire and fully-catered all you can eat lunch.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance. Registration donation is $25 per person; $75 for family of four. For tickets or to volunteer at the event, please email joyce@bichonfurkids.org.
