Teen Crash Victim's Mom Accepts High School Diploma

The mother of Robin Cabrera, who was one of five teens killed in a Newport Beach car crash last month, attends her daughter's high school graduation to receive her diploma.

On Wednesday 425 students, and one mother, received high school diplomas from Irvine High School, according to a story on NBC Los Angeles.

Pamela Samson-Yoma walked on stage to receive a diploma on behalf of her daughter, Robin Cabrera, who died last month in a Newport Beach crash, the news outlet reported. Her younger daughter, Aurora Christine, 16, was also tragically killed when the car they were riding in crashed into a tree in Newport Beach on Memorial Day. 

The graduation ceremony also included a moment of silence to remember the Cabrera sisters, as well as the other crash victims, Abdulrahman M. Alyahyan, 17,  Nozad Al Hamawendi, 17 and Cecilia D. Zamora,17.
