Clouds, Showers Move into Orange County

Meteorologists say a Pacific storm is expected to hit Orange County on Wednesday.

A marine layer rolled into Orange County this morning bringing drizzle and cloudy skies into the region, the National Weather Service reported.

Forecasters say cool temperatures and spring showers will linger throughout the day and will be back on Wednesday afternoon when the late-season Pacific storm arrives. The storm is expected to drop about half an inch of rain in Orange County Wednesday night and could bring wind gusts of up to 30 mph.

Today in Newport Beach there will be drizzle throughout the morning and cloudy skies all day with highs in the low 60s. Tuesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s and and Wednesday will be cloudy and rainy in the afternoon with cool temperatures in the mid-60s. There is a slight chance of showers on Thursday with highs in the mid-60s. Mostly sunny skies are expected for the weekend with highs in the low 70s.
