Updated: Plane with Blown Tire Lands at John Wayne

All 160 Alaska Airlines Passengers are safe today after their plane landed at John Wayne Airport with two blown tires.

An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 sustained a blown tire on landing at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana this afternoon, but no one was injured.

The plane was able to move from the runway to Taxiway A, said Jenny Wedge, the airport's public relations manager. The approximately 160 passengers aboard Flight 508 from Seattle were taken off the plane, got on shuttle buses and were taken to Terminal A to retrieve luggage, Wedge said.

The main right gear tire blew out and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating, said Ian Gregor of the FAA.
