Patch iPhone App Now Available

The mobile Patch app is finally here, ready to deliver news and events to your pocket or purse. Download it at Apple’s App Store and you'll find a variety of ways to plug into your community.

The app pulls up the Patch closest to your location, and gives you the option of browsing other nearby Patches.

From there, you can read the latest community news, check weather forecasts, watch videos, find the best place to grab lunch and stay hip with arts and entertainment listings. Plus, you can save events to your iPhone calendar in just seconds.

You can also comment on stories, upload photos and share favorite articles and business listings via Facebook or email.

The Front 5 is the first page to greet you on the iPhone app and contains the most relevant local news, events and editor tweets.

What is the Favorites feature?

We have baked in a feature that lets users cache any Patch content for offline viewing (in airports, subways, etc.). It’s a pretty neat interface!

The app is compatible with iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, iPod Touch (3rd or 4th generation) and iPad. It requires iOS 4.0 or newer.
