OASIS Charity Event, Concerts in the Park, A Sunny Day

The five things you need to know for June 25.

1.  Today at 9 a.m., join Douglas Kent, an author, professor and garden designer, at Roger's Gardens as he discusses details and design elements of a garden that will allow you to welcome local, migrating, and exotic birds to your landscape.

2. Today from 2-4 p.m., a charity event at the OASIS Senior Center will benefit Advocates for Grandparent-Grandchild Connection. The proceeds will help the organization continue to provide support and educational services to disenfranchised grandparents.  The event will include a silent auction, dessert sampler and guest speakers. 3. Today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mariners Park welcomes back Art in the Park for a one-day event that will feature more than 100 artists selling and displaying a variety of original works.  Proceeds from the event will help the Newport Beach Arts Foundation advance art in Newport Beach and support programs such as Concerts in the Park and Shakespeare by the Sea. 4. The Newport Beach Concerts in the Park Series kicks off tomorrow, June 26 at 6 p.m., with a performance by the Showcase Singers. Enjoy an evening of Broadway music at Grant Howald Park, 3000 Fifth Avenue. For more information, click here.
