Central Library to Reopen Monday

The Central Library returns to service after being closed during construction.

The Central Library in Newport Beach, which has been closed for nearly two weeks, will be back to business as usual come Monday.

The library's closure began Oct. 17 to accommodate an expansion project that included crews building a temporary wall and moving shelves and other library materials.

"Construction is going as planned," said Tim Hetherton, the library's service manager. "The Central Library is expected to open Monday at 9 a.m., barring any unforeseen circumstances."
