Leftover Halloween Candy? Donate it to the Troops

Candy collection will continue through Nov. 28

Instead of letting the kids indulge in all of that leftover Halloween candy, help make the lives of troops a little sweeter by donating it to them.

Now through the end of the month, local orthodontist Heidi Kermani will be collecting candy for the troops overseas at her office located at 2515 Eastbluff Dr. As an extra incentive, each person who donates candy will be given $1 per pound. In addition, the top three schools will also receive a matching contribution to what they donate. To schedule your candy drop-off, call 949-640-5050.

Candy donations for the troops are also being collected at the office of orthodontist Di Giovanni, at 1401 Avocado, Suite 203, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The office is closed for lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  and will be closed on Nov. 9, 14 and 21. Call 949-640-0202 for more information.
