Kobe Bryant and his wife issued a statement today calling off divorce proceedings initiated in Orange County about a year ago.
Vanessa Bryant posted on the social-networking site Instagram a statement saying: ``We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled. Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together.''
The divorce papers were filed Dec. 16, 2011, at the courthouse in Orange and cited ``irreconcilable differences.''
The Bryants have been married for 11 years and have two daughters -- Natalia, 9, and Gianna, 6.
In 2003, the Lakers star was accused of sexual assault by a 19-year-old hotel worker in Colorado, but the case was eventually dropped when the alleged victim was unwilling to testify. Vanessa Bryant stood by her husband throughout the case.
Messages left with Kobe Bryant's agent and his public relations representative were not immediately returned.
