Vanessa and Kobe Bryant Call Off the Divorce

It's official: The Bryants "are looking forward to our future together."

Kobe Bryant and his wife issued a statement today calling off divorce proceedings initiated in Orange County about a year ago.

Vanessa Bryant posted on the social-networking site Instagram a statement saying: ``We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled. Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together.''

The divorce papers were filed Dec. 16, 2011, at the courthouse in Orange and cited ``irreconcilable differences.''

The Bryants have been married for 11 years and have two daughters -- Natalia, 9, and Gianna, 6.

In 2003, the Lakers star was accused of sexual assault by a 19-year-old hotel worker in Colorado, but the case was eventually dropped when the alleged victim was unwilling to testify. Vanessa Bryant stood by her husband throughout the case.

Messages left with Kobe Bryant's agent and his public relations representative were not immediately returned.

I wish both of them would just go away. I am so tired of looking at their faces. I'll never forget that press conference after he got caught having a little rendevous with the Colorado hotel receptionist. Afterwards he bought her a big diamond rock to secure her "love". Barf! Both of them are like cartoon characters to me.

I'm sooooooooooo relieved! That's all I can think about! Wondering if they would ever reconcile!

Their lack of respect for each other and their warped idea of sanctiny in a real marriage is based on their own vanity. They both are shallow. I feel sorry for their children. The nanny is probably a more stable role model for the children.

Well, I wish them & their family the best. Yes, they have issues. I hope that they have had help to address what led to the breakup in the 1st place. But beyond being rich & being celebrities, they are people so I wish them the best & hope they have grown & learned through what they have been through.

JustUs Hey.... A man has his needs.... lol lol Chances of it working out between them? ZERO!!!
Joker Joe January 14, 2013 at 03:51 PM
Vanessa stood by her man during the case.... lol lol Just like Hillary stood by Bill for the two months he and Monica were on tv. Hillary stood by him during the senate investigation also. Gotta hand it to these women. Absolutely NO CLASS!!

Sorry to say this....but so what? They have no impact on my life whatsoever. And, why is this news to anyone anyway?

Why is Patch censoring my post from Saturday @ 1:49pm....???

Bill Bonney, Hillary got what she wanted from her husband. Today she's Secretary of State of the most powerful nation on earth. Without him she'd be chasing ambulances in Little Rock. Come on. Let's look at this realistically. It's not love. It's a business relationship. Like 2 parasites feeding off one another. Kobe has a lot to lose in a divorce. It's business, man! Nothing that another diamond rock won't solve. Let's look at life the way it is!!!

That will happen. Just go with the flow or they will give you the boot! The patch does not believe in "free speech"!
Joker Joe January 14, 2013 at 06:16 PM
Hillary got that from Obama because Bill campaigned for him. No morals or ethics in this group grope also!!

Bill Clinton really embarrassed and insulted Hillary when the Lewinsky scandal was exposed. I would have LOVED to have been a fly on White House living room wall when Hillary had a heart to heart with Bill afterwards (after the vases were thrown and the rolling pin was put away). No doubt there was a "YOU OWE ME" in the conversation. And Bill certainly came through. Hillary got what she always wanted in the end: POWER. Power that would have never happened without Bill. None of those on top live by a moral code, Bill. They are all pigs. They had to sell out to get to where they are. Had they not sold out they would be where you and I are today. And that simply wasn't acceptable to them. They were 'better' than that. heh. :^)

Oh, btw, Bill Bonney. Bill Clinton was recently named "Father of the Year" by the 'National Institute for the Recognition of Father's Day' or some such organization. I found that uncanny. I guess they don't consider a man's cumulative record. Perhaps one could have been a mass murderer in 2011 - but if he was a great father in 2012 his nomination would be acceptable as long as he had the proper connections. :^)

JustUs Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize and I remember his first words regarding it. "What is this for". He had no idea what he had accomplished. Kinda like the movie industry. Oscars, Emmys, CMT award, People's Award, etc. They keep congratulating themselves.

What has this got to do with my community news? While Patch has been an enjoyable read for obtaining community news not obtainable anywhere else, the recent change in direction of Patch story content has me very disappointed with Patch as of late. Leave these stories to the big news organisations who spin and sensationalize everything and give me back stories of substance and importance within my community.

I'm glad to hear they are back together......divorce isnt good even if he cheated along the way, hope they stay married forever and if they don't, oh well. This really isn't our business but since they posted it might as well comment on it.
