John Wayne Fliers Get US Airways Mobile Boarding Passes

Wednesday was the first day that travelers at John Wayne Airport can use mobile boarding passes for US Airways flights.

Forget clutching those wrinkled pieces of paper as you hustle through security at John Wayne Airport.

Starting today, travelers on US Airways can pull up their boarding passes on their phones or other mobile devices, the airline has announced.

The Orange County airport is one of only 14 airports nationwide where US Airways travelers can board flights using a mobile boarding pass.

Ten commercial, two commuter and two all-cargo airlines operate at John Wayne Airport.
