Fourth of July at Newport Dunes

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina boasts a jam-packed, family fun celebration on Independence Day.

There will be tons of activities at Newport Dunes Resort & Marina on the Fourth of July for families to celebrate Independence Day.

The annual July 4th Celebration will take place from noon to 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 but Newport Dunes will be hosting activities all weekend. Before the fireworks start lighting up the sky, revelers can enjoy a chili cook-off, an adult All-American food eating contest and a small Sundae contest for kids. 

Throughout the day families can enjoy the Kids Corral which will include a bouncy house, inflatable fire engine slide, small pirate ship ride, craft stations, balloon maker, and much more.

Live music starts from 3 – 4 p.m. with Modern Country and Rock band Black Star, followed by Carlos Santana Tribute Band Carlos the Experience from 4:30pm – 5:30pm, and Beatles tribute band The Mockers from 6pm to 7pm. Ending the night is award-winning Classic Rock Band America playing from 7:30pm – 9:30pm.

The grand finale is slated to be the massive fireworks show at 9 p.m. 

Single tickets are $20,  $80 for a 4-pack of general tickets and parking, and $200 for a VIP 4-pack, which includes VIP seating, valet parking and butler bar service.

The holiday weekend will be in full swing at Newport Dunes, with Rock'n 80's and a fun day for the family on Saturday, July 6. Carnival rides including a ferris wheel, zip line, hydro climbing wall, giant slide, orbitron, roco plane plus the Kids corral will be ready to go.

If you're a foodie,  a sample Food Truck fare will be held from noon - 4:30 p.m. where voters can bid for the best food truck in Newport Beach.  Current SiriusXM and former KROQ 106.7 DJ Richard Blade will host the evening spinning classic alternative hits in between the liveentertainment.  

Blade kicks off the festivities from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., then70’s and 80’s hit Cover Band Fusion Beat takes the stage, followed by all female rock tribute act Cougrzz Rock.

Journey tribute band Don’t Stop Believin’ will play until 10 p.m.

Tickets and Parking are $30 for four wristbands, a single wristband is $10.
