Health Warnings Issued at Balboa Island
Signs warning of unhealthy bacteria levels were posted this week.
Some areas of Balboa Island are under a health advisory today, according to the Orange County Health Care Agency.
On Tuesday afternoon the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Ocean Water Protection Program posted warning signs at the Grand Canal and Garnet Avenue on the south side of Balboa Island.
According to health officials, the bacteria levels exceed health standards and contact with the water may cause illness.
