Health Warning Issued at Balboa Pier
Officials say the bacteria levels exceed health standards today.
A section of the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach is under a health advisory today, according to the Orange County Health Care Agency.
Around 11:45 a.m., the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Ocean Water Protection Program posted warning signs from the Balboa Pier to 300 feet north of the pier.
According to health officials, the bacteria levels exceed health standards and contact with the water may cause illness.
