Gas Prices on the Decline in Orange County
Prices at the pump continue to drop for the 25th straight day. In Newport Beach, the cheapest gas can be found at Beacon Bay Auto Wash on Birch Street.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County decreased today for the 25th consecutive day, falling 1.6 cents to $4.082, officials reported.
The decrease is 11.1 cents less than one week ago and 13.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 13.8 cents higher than one year ago. The Orange County average price has decreased 30.7 cents over the past 25 days, including 1.9 cents on Saturday.
Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Clubof Southern California says the declining pump prices are the result of a substantial drop in wholesale gasoline prices.
