Donors Needed for Annual Lifeguard Blood Drive

Newport Beach lifeguards will host a blood drive on Wednesday.

The Newport Beach Fire Department is encouraging the community to donate a small amount of time - and some blood - to help save a life.

The 28th annual Newport Beach Lifeguards’ Blood Drive - which is annually the most successful lifeguard drive in Southern California- will be held Wednesday, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Newport Beach Lifeguard Headquarters, located at the base of the Newport Pier.

If you would like to donate, stop by the blood drive during the scheduled time and make sure to bring identification. To make an appointment, call 949-644-3047, or email jturner@nbfd.net.
