Donate Blood at Hoag, Get a Free Burrito
Blood and platelet donors will receive a free lunch Monday at Hoag Hospital.
Hoag Hospital is encouraging people to stop by its health center on Monday to help save a life.
Blood donations will be taken Monday, June 17 from 12:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Hoag Health Center, 510 Superior Ave., Suite 130. Those who donate blood or platelets will receive a free burrito from Chronic Tacos in Newport Beach.
The American Red Cross reports every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood, but only 5 percent of the eligible population donates blood each year. The blood type most often needed is Type O. The American Red Cross reports one donation can save up to three lives.
