The annual Planning Session for the Newport Beach City Council will take place Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
The special meeting will be held at the OASIS Senior Center in Corona del Mar. The council is scheduled to discuss the status of last year's council priorities, provide a fiscal outlook and set priorities for 2012. The public is invited to attend.
In her monthly newsletter, Councilwoman Nancy Gardner said the planning session will be similar to a city council meeting.
"We get to talk a lot, the public not as much (or at least not for as long), but there are opportunities to suggest priorities and also to comment on various proposals as they are discussed," Gardner wrote.
The OASIS Senior Center is located at 801 Narcissus Avenue in Corona del Mar.
