Suspects Burglarize Houses on Same Streets

Several homes on Balboa Boulevard and Bay were recently broken into while the residents were asleep, according to Newport Beach police.

The Newport Beach Police Department issued a crime alert after multiple houses on the same streets were recently broken into overnight.

The burglaries took place overnight sometime between Tuesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 5.

1300 block of W. Balboa Blvd.

  • A suspect reached through an open window and took an iPhone from the kitchen counter. According to police, the resident was home asleep at the time of the burglary.
  • Police said a suspect entered a home through an unlocked front door and stole a wallet, watch, iPod and iPhone from the kitchen and bedroom. The resident was home asleep during the burglary.

  • A suspect entered the victim’s home through an unlocked window and stole a hat, three cameras, a folding knife and an iPhone charger.
  • According to police, a suspect entered the victim’s residence through an open window while the victim slept and stole medication, food, clothing and coins.
