Update: Border Patrol Arrests 24 People at Crystal Cove
The 24 people were allegedly trying to enter the country illegally in a 25-foot panga, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

Twenty-four people were arrested Thursday morning in Newport Beach while allegedly trying to enter the country illegally in a 25-foot panga, the U.S. Border Patrol reported.
Twenty men and four women were taken into custody about 4:30 a.m. at Crystal Cove State Park, after border patrol agents spotted the single outboard engine, said Gerardo Gutierrez of the border patrol. No drugs were found, Gutierrez said. Their ages range from 17 to 54-years-old.
Official said 23 were determined to be Mexican nationals and one was a Honduran national. All were illegally present in the U.S. and taken to a nearby Border Patrol station for processing.
Assisting in the arrests were Newport Beach police officers, Orange County sheriff's deputies, and state parks security personnel.
